Guardian Industries celebrated the addition of a new state-of-the-art laminating line & the "Glass Room," an onsite meeting/training center, at its plant at Goole, recently. The laminating line will create new jobs & provide glass with enhanced performance capabilities. Total investment for the line is more than £6M. Local business & political leaders were on hand for the celebration including MP Ian Cawsey, mayor of Goole Kevin Flynn, Guardian EVP Ralph Gerson & chairman of Yorkshire Forward Terry Hodgkinson. In making the announcement, Mark Bristow, regional sales manager for UK & Ireland, said: "This investment is a clear demonstration of Guardian's commitment to Goole. The performance of the existing float glass facility has gone from strong to stronger & this has generated the confidence within Guardian that Goole is ready for this development".
