Glass Structure Analysis By Vibrational Spectroscopy

There is a wealth of publications on the structural investigation of glasses, however, there is still no satisfactory theoretical description of any composition vs property diagram. The traditional method of expressing glass composition in terms of the initial oxides does in no way reflect the universally recognised interaction of oxides to form definite chemical compounds. This paper presents the results of investigations of glass-type systems.
