Glass Objects Made In Murano At The End Of The 16Th Century

Lots of terms have survived up to present times naming glass objects made in the Muranese glassworks along the centuries. Many of them are not used any longer and it is not even possible to associate them with any precise shape. The list of terms reported in the present article refers to a number of daily use objects supplied to a Venetian retailer towards the end of the 16th century. Real sale prices are given; for many objects it is possible to compare their sale price with the wages paid to the glassmakers who made them.
