The Glass Network In The World

The ICG (International Commission on Glass) is a Society of Scientific and Technical Organisations with particular interest in Glass Science and Technology. It aims " to promote and stimulate understanding and co-operation between all persons with a view to the exchange of information on the art, history, education, science and technology of glass by the appropriate means" (part its constitution). To achieve these objects it organises scientific research, publishes scientific and technical papers, books and other documents, and compiles information on glass, a further major role is to organise international meetings to share knowledge on glass. The ICG was founded in 1933 and now is recognised world wide, bringing together the world's most respected universities, scientific institutions, manufacturers and allied organisations.
