Glass Melting Electrode Innovation

Extreme temperatures, aggressive glass melts and oxidising atmospheres are the main challenges in the glass melting industry. In this paper the authors describe a recently introduced corrosion-resistant melting electrode from Italian-based Plansee, offering superior properties in the manufacture of extremely aggressive glasses. The company has also enhanced its offering for glass tank reinforcements.
