Glass Manages Heat Control And Light Transmission

Pilkington has launched an energy management glass called Pilkington Suncool High Performance Brilliant. The glass aims to provide the ultimate in light transmission and heat control. The transmitted light exceeds transmitted heat by a factor almost 2:1. This latest addition to Pilkington's range of coated glass will be suitable for use in commercial and public buildings and is intended to provide occupants with a comfortable environment all year round. The glass offers excellent thermal control properties and also helps to control energy consumption in a building. It is an off-line coated glass for use in insulating units. It can also be toughened or laminated before the coating process so that it can be used for safety and security purposes.
