Glass Machinery - New Capabilities In Curves

New Tamglass bending and tempering technology at European Glass, based in Manchester, has taken the use of curved shapes to a totally new level, where almost everything is possible. Tamglass has developed a new flexible concept for large size bending and tempering with no tooling and moulds. ProBend is carried out by a combined bending and quenching conveyor. Having the maximum glass size up to 2400mm x 4200mm, with minimum bending radius of 1500mm, and maximum bending radius as a quarter of circle. The machine can be equipped with four different heads, three different types of bending sections and one flat section for versatile production. ProBend concept requires no moulds or tooling, the shapes, sizes and thicknesses can be processed at high production speed with minimal changeover time, enabling easy processing of one-off pieces with zero-tooling costs.
