Glass Invests In The Future: Growth For United Glass

United Glass has reported growth from 7-8BN containers/year over recent years with much of the increase due to non-returnable beers and flavoured alcoholic beverages (FABs). In order to support this sector, UG has recently installed a new, state-of-the-art forming machine at its Alloa facility to supply ready to drink containers to nearby filling locations. The company also has a multi-million programme of factory improvements underway at Alloa and a new £10M warehouse under construction at Harlow. Other improvements made by the firm have been investment in 3D design and an innovative, automatic sooting system, developed in conjunction with AVIR SpA.
