The Glass Industry In The People'S Republic Of China

The evolution of glass production in the People's Republic of China is briefly illustrated. Real development in this sector began only after the Foundation of the new China, during the last 40 years. Until ten years ago few glass factories producing small quantities of mirrors and secondary glass products were present in China. Afterwards, more than a dozen glass production lines were introduced. In the near future, China's glass industry aims not to enlarge production or increase production technology, but to improve the existing glass plants.
