Chalcogenide Ge-As-Se-Te glasses for optical registration information have been investigated. The glass formation region with Te contents 45-70 at.%, some thermal properties, short wave transmission edge and analytical dependence "composition-property" are reported. Thin films were prepared by RF electron sputtering using the sintered body.
