Glass For Europe Supports Discussions On Eu Directive On Energy Performance Of Buildings

National governments are currently discussing a recast of the EU directive on the energy performance of buildings. The EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings is the most important legislative instrument of recent years for improving the energy efficiency of Europe's buildings. As such, it is of critical importance for the building glass sector since an ambitious & properly implemented directive could help boost sales of high tech glass at time of building renovations. Considering the enormous energy saving potential of both Low-E & solar-control glass in air-conditioned buildings, the glass industry must not miss the opportunities linked to the recast of this legislation. Glass for Europe has identified certain provisions as a priority for the glass industry. For more information, and details please go to: info@glassforeurope.com
