Donwood Glass has demonstrated what it thinks of the recession by opening a stunning new showroom for processed glass at its premises on Tyneside. The Advance Glass Showroom is destined to become a showcase for processed glass design in the N East, a place where innovative designs will be matched by innovative processes. Andrew Donnelly, MD/AGD, is cautiously optimistic about the future: "Our business, like every other related to the construction industry, has suffered from the downturn. But we are determined take this as an opportunity to look at what we are doing & focus our glass business on where we can add the most value for our clients." AGD plans to use the showroom to bring specifiers, fabricators & installers together to collaborate on projects that involve the use of processed glass. "There are endless opportunites to use processed glass in building" explains Darren Donnelly, Operations Director at Donwood/AGD "and we hope that bringing interested parties together will create exciting new opportunities for everyone concerned". The opening of the Advance Glass Design showroom is the culmination of six month marketing project supported by Business & Enterprise North East and delivered by i2i Consultants Ltd. Geoff Hodgson,of Business & Enterprise North East (B&ENE), the organisation that delivers Business Link service in the region said:"We are delighted to have been able to support Andrew and Darren through their business project".
