Glass Decoration Goes Organic

Since the debut of UV-based inks for the decoration of glass and ceramics nearly a decade ago, glass and ceramic printers have enjoyed the benefits of switching from ceramic and solvent-based inks to organic UV-based inks. Benefits of switching include: increased high gloss level; lead-free formulations, high chemical and dishwasher resistance and the ability to reduce lehr temperature. This article looks at a new generation of UV-based inks, developed to eliminate the need for a post-heat cure, allowing for even more streamlined manufacturing processes.
