Plans for a brand new glass container plant have been unveiled in the UAE. the new plant, which will have the capacity to produce 600M bottles/pa, is being set up by Pakistan's Ghani Glass Ltd, in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimar Investment Authority and the Startup Group. Construction of the new plant should be completed in around 15 months. The RAK Ghani Glass plant will have the capacity to produce 120/tpd (600M lightweight bottles/pa) to cater to the pharmaceutical markets of the Middle East, Europe and the Far East. The new plant will incorporate the latest technology and machinery to maintain high product quality. Ghani Glass is the premier manufacturer of glass products in Pakistan, producing over 200,000/tpa. The local Ras Al Kaimah government is working to provide the ideal atmosphere to attract local, regional and foreign investments.
