Ghani Glass - Float Plant Launched

Ghani Glass Ltd (GGL) has launched production of a float glass plant in Pakistan. The plant is based in Sheikhupura, near Lahore, and operates under the name Al-Rehman Glass (Pvt) Ltd. GGL has invested PKR 1.5BN in the first phase, with a production capacity of 350/tpd. It is Pakistan's first coated reflective float glass plant equipped with the latest technology. Until now, Pakistan had no float glass manufacturing capacity and has imported from China, India and other countries. GGL's share of the glass market is 80% of the food industry, 65% of the pharmaceutical sector and more than 50% sheet glass production and sales. GGL operates 11 industrial and commercial units in Pakistan.
