The GGF (Glass & Glazing Federation) has been busy at home and abroad over the last few months with senior management holding multiple meetings with government ministers, potential Green Deal providers, as well as helping se the EU standards for glass manufacture. In between, the Federation held a special Green Deal Debate in the Midlands on 17 November. The GGF directly asked government ministers the key questions on Green Deal to ensure the industry gets equal and fair consideration to enable glass and glazing companies to grow their businesses through the government's flagship initiative. These meetings set he standards for glass in building an are essential in order to complete all the ISO Standards that are currently under review and once completed, will affect companies in the industry. The aim of the meetings is to agree and complete the standards so that they can go out for public consultation before being accepted into service. Being international standards the meetings were attended by senior delegates representing their national standards authorities for: Australia, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, UK and USA.
