Ggf Invited To Construction Industry Round Table

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) recently announced that it had been invited to attend a construction industry round table meeting on Building Regulations by Angela Smith MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the newly formed Department for Communities & Local Government (DCLG). The meeting is due to take place late June & Angela Smith indicated that she saw it as a 'useful opportunity to take stakeholder views on the strategic direction of Building Regulations & how we take forward reform of the regulations announced in the response to the Barker review on housing. Nigel Rees, GGF CE commented. 'GGF is the only organisation in the glazing & home improvement industry to be approached to attend this meeting & we will be taking this responsibility very seriously to ensure that the voice of our Members & the industry at large is represented. 'I will be speaking to GGF Members prior to this meeting to find out what they have to say about this crucial issue so that we can move forward in a progressive manner on all matters relating to Building Regulations'.
