Getting The Measure Of The Eu'S Emission Directive

In the first of two articles, Glass Technology Services (Glass Technology Services) discusses the complex development of a new directive born from the IPPC directive and its significance for emissions measurement. The IPPC Directive 96/61/EC has been around since 1996. It has been amended several times & in 1008 was re-issued in a consolidated (codified) form in the interests of clarity & rationality. Meanwhile, during 2005-2007, the EC has been reviewing the implementation of the original directive, which aims to achieve a high level of protection to the environment as a whole.
