A seven-colour, servo-based screenprinting machine for decorating glass hollowware with UV inks is now in production at glass tableware manufacturer Rastal's facility in Hohr-Grenzhausen, Germany. The machine, an RS 7480, supplied by Isimat, is the latest addition to its range of servo-based machines. Features of the machine include 3 servomotors for each printing station; one to drive the squeegee head, one for the screen carriage, and one for the print head. Independent printing movements between each printing station also enables different printing movements to be set during one machine pass. Chief Designer for Rastal, Carsten Kehrein said: "Using our new screenprinting machine and working with UV inks, gives us new design options for promoting our customers' brands."
