[Germany] Schott To Fire-Up Furnace

Schott is ready to start firing up its 6M/Euros melting tank at its facility in Gruenplan, Germany. The tank is equipped with process control technology that will be used to manufacture glass products including Opalika white flashed opal glass and Artista coloured glass, as well as restoration glass for architectural use. Its old melting tank for coloured glass was shut down several months ago. The company is looking to expand in the decorative glass business, an area expected to grow.
