General Method For The Analysis Of Na2O And K2O By Flame Photometry In Glass And Silicate Materials

A general flame photometric method to determine Na2O and K2O in glasses, sands and refractories used in the glass industry is examined. The interfering elements are precipitated from a chloride solution with lime, the solution obtained after filtration being analysed in the flame. Some examples of calibration curves are given.
