Gases For The Float Line

Large amounts of nitrogen and hydrogen are required to run a float line. The first part of this article deals with general requirements of the process and the appropriate gas supply systems. Secondly, there is a growing demand for speciality gases in the flat glass industry which are used for glass coatings. In the future, oxy fuel technology is likely to have an impact on the melting process leading to increased oxygen requirements.
