Gas Chromatographic Analysis Of Gases In Bubbles In Glass

Different methods for analysis of gases in bubbles in glass and their advantages and disadvantages are briefly described. The gas chromatographic method is discussed in somewhat more detail. The purpose of the investigation was mainly to show the results which can be obtained with gas chromatographic standard equipment of the 'Beckman GC-2A' type with a thermal conductivity detector (Katarometer). Series of chromatograms from various bubbles taken from different types of glass are given in the last section.
