Future Of Refillables

The German glass container manufacturers Gerresheimer Glas AG and Oberland Glas AG have set up a consortium to make refillable bottles for the mineral water, carbonated soft drink and beer markets. The bottles are manufactured using the newly-developed Geracote system which provides a thin protective, polyurethane coating to the glass to prevent breakage and allow a reduction in glass weight.
