Future Fire Glass Issues

At present, CE marking in the UK is governed by the Construction Products Directive (CPD) which, as the name suggests is only a Directive. With the move towards legislation, which comes into force 1 July 2013, CE marking will become mandatory under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and an EU (EN) standard will replace the current British Standard for fire testing protocols. In this article, the author considers the possible impact on the fire glazing market and supply chain.
