Fund Launched To Tackle Waste Before It Leaves The Shelf

Packaging innovation received a kick-start in November when Environment Minister, Elliot Morley, launched an £8M fund to stimulate more environmentally friendly packaging design. The fund will see WRAP working with major retail partners and their supply chains to deliver changes amounting to a reduction of 310,000 tonnes of packaging waste going to landfill by March 2006.
