Kommerling started producing sealants at the beginning of the 1960s, having been motivated by 60 years of experience in the development of adhesives. Attention was primarily concentrated on the shoe industry and on field of application in transport systems, and in the building industry. Sealants for the manufacture of insulating glass played a key role right from the start.
