Fives Stein recently announced it is to build an 800/tpd float glass plant near Recife for Companhia Brasileira de Vidros Planos (CBVP), a subsidiary of the industrial concern Grupo Cornelio Brennand. The whole process plant procurement and implementation process has been entrusted to the specialist French engineering company. All elements of the manufacturing process will be delivered, starting at the batch plant and extending ot the cutting line and glass handling systems. A mid-2013 start-up is scheduled for the first float plant to be built in north eastern Brazil. Both architectural and automotive glass grades will be manufactured.
