The Rossella Junck Gallery in Venice specialises in 19th century Murano glassware and contemporary art glass. This year, the gallery has organised its first edition of Venezia Vetro 2002, a yearly exhibition featuring works by a group of talented young glass modellers. On display there will be a number of works by French artists, who hold a leading position in this first international selection. This article looks at the main achievements by these glass specialists, ranging from experiments with pate de verre techniques, glass sculptures, the application of organic elements to glass and other techniques.
