Fracture Process Of Silicon Carbide Fibre-Reinforced Glasses

This paper evaluates the fracture process for fibre-reinforced glasses under tensile loading. Two types of unidirectionally aligned Nicalon SiC-fibre-reinforced glass with different fibre coatings were examined. One channel acoustic emission (AE) measurement was employed during the tensile tests.
