[Forming] An Expert Virtually At Your Side

In the past, an IS forming machine was mainly a mechanical machine, but today, the electric and electronic content, driven by FlexIS controls, has increased significantly. Consequently, the number of service requests related to FlexIS controls grows annually. In many cases, such request could be quickly resolved by remote access, emphasising why Emhart Glass has been investing in remote services, providing remote support to operational personnel and decreasing equipment downtime. This article explains how the FlexIS Remote Service works. The Service is currently in the start phase with a limited number of users. Market introduction is planned in the second half of 2010.
