[Forming] Energy-Saving In Glass Pressing

Founded in 1889, Waltec Maschinen is a German company based in Wilhelmsthal, Bavaria. It is a manufacturer of automated, electronically controlled feeder, pressing, press-and-blow, and centrifugal machines; laser cutters; sanders; and polishers as well as handling and transportation systems for the glass industry. This article explains how Waltec has changed the hydraulic drive technology of its machines to servo-pump technology, resulting in energy savings of more than 50% in glass pressing machines.
