Foaming Of Borosilicate Glasses By Chemical Reactions In The Temperature Range 950 - 1150C

Sintering experiments with glass powders showed that silicon carbide and silicon nitrate are very effective foaming agents for borosilicate glasses over a wide range of temperatures.
