Foaming Behaviour And Sulfate Chemistry Of Soda Lime Glass Melts

A study on foam behaviour in glass melting processes is carried out in order to investigate the foam characteristics and mechanisms of foam formation and decay. The effect of parameters such as temperature, batch composition, redox of the batch, redox of cullet mixtures and furnace atmosphere on foaming and foam stability are investigated.
