This article takes a look at how flux blocks - in particular their joints - can cause corrosion and glass leakage. The article also deals with the situations of cooling and insulation. Effect of the flux-line corrosion on melting, emergencies due to glass leakage from the flux line and assessment of corrosion are also looked into.
