Flow Behaviour Of A Partially Crystallised Li-Disilicate Melt

The flow behaviour of a pure and of a partially crystallised Li-sdisilicate melt is investigated by the cylinder compression method with the help of a servo-hydraulic universal testing machine under isothermal conditions. A certain crystalline volume fraction in the cylindrical glass samples is produced by a primary nucleation and crystallisation treatment. This treatment, which is a result of previous research, is performed to obtain a defined size, habit and number of the internal crystals.
