Flow And Temperature Distributions In Forehearths For Glass Container Machnies: I, Temperature Measurements In A Green Glass Forehearth Channel And Modeling Of The Temperature Felds.

Temp distributions were measured at 3 load levels encompassing the entire load range of an operating forehearth burners or of cooling. The large optical density typical of coloured glasses affects the formation of strong temp. gradients at the surface zone of the glass bath. The measured temp fields were molded using the similarity theory.
