Final Blow Optimisation Increases Production

Steam & Glass Technology (fax: Germany +49 351 476 0406) has developed new techniques to maximise the cooling effect on the internal glass surface during production, thus increasing productivity. Its process comprises a methodical approach of determining the optimum final blowing pressure, followed by blow head flow optimisation. The technique uses the recently developed Pressure Optimisation Device (POD 100) and a high-speed pyrometer.
