Fast Electrochemical Method For Estimation Of The Corrosion Resistance Of Electrode Materials In Molten Enamel

A relatively simple and fast method, based on electrochemical techniques, is described to obtain qualitative information concerning the resistance against corrosion of electrode materials in a commercial molten enamel. This method can be used as a standard method for obtaining and comparing of the corrosion resistance of electrode materials (used for electric melting) in existing and/or newly developed molten enamel and this can be achieved in a relatively short time. Results of this method were compared with those obtained by the weight loss method.
