Experience With Regenerative Burners In Increasing Glass Melter Efficiency

Experience in the use of regenerative burners on a unit melter at Arkansas Glass Container Corp is reported. Pull was increased from 40 to 45 tons/day and fuel consumption reduced from an average of 26 to less than 12 million Btu/h.
