Experience With Direct Potentiomatric Fluoride Determination In A Glass Laborartory.

Fluoride determination is usually very time consuming in the silicate laboratory because the normal methods of analysis require its separation from the accompanying elements. This work reports experience with the ORION 96-09 ion sensitive electrode which, with suitable precautions, permits the determination of fluoride in the presence of foreign ions. Comparison of the results obtained with those of other methods of fluoride analyses show that this method gives accurate and rapid fluoride analyses.
