Europe'S First Ec Facade

Rather than having to press a light switch to change the amount of light in a room or turning on an air-conditioning system in summer to keep cool, a simpler and more efficient option exists: E-Control electrochromic insulation glass, made by Pilkington Flabeg. By pushing a button on the product's electronic controls, the quantities of both heat and light can be regulated. Its operation and pioneering application in the facade of a German bank are explained here.
