Eu Design Awards For O-I Glass Bottles

The novel glass bottle made by OI for the True Fruits range of fruit smoothie drinks has won two major European design awards, following the winning of an award by the entrepreneurs behind the True Fruits drink. The 0.25/l bottle won the International Forum 2007 product design award and the IF 2007 gold award from the International Forum of Design. The drink itself won an innovation award at the International Fruit World conference. Judges highlighted the fact that a high quality printed glass bottle had been chosen for the drink, instead of a labelled PET one. OI design and developed the flint glass bottle within 3 months and manufactured the bottles at its Jarvakandi, Estonia site.
