A Lancashire firm has equipped itself with state-of-the-art aggregate crushing & screening equipment, worth around £220,000. The company is the first to benefit from WRAP's "Equip" Residual Value Guarantee scheme, which leases out recycling equipment. Wyre Waste Management, Fleetwood, secured a five year operating lease with the Bank of Scotland Asset Finance to finance the lease. "The opportunity to lease this equipment came at the right time for us and really helped financially," said Ian Drury, a partner in Wyre Waste Management. Mr Drury added: "If the Equip scheme had not been available, we would have had very limited financial alternatives as grants were not available and buying was not an option as we could not afford a big outlay. Hire purchase wouldn't have helped either as we would have needed a large deposit which we could not afford."
