End Of Life Vehicles

The new Directive on end of life vehicles (ELVs) which has recently become law in Europe, will have a profound influence on the future treatment of scrap automobiles, and on how cars will be designed, assembled, sold and maintained. At a recent conference in Geneva, Switzerland, the International Automobile Recycling Congress, the implications of the Directive were discussed, including the difficult issue of shredder residues.
