An End To End Caps

Current industry trends towards sophisticated glass products, increased tempering education, safety glazing and the ever-increasing demands for higher quality products have complicated the science of tempering glass. There are numerous obstacles in obtaining good glass in these sophisticated products, one being roller wave distortion. HHH Architectural claim to have incorporated some design criteria to address roller wave distortion. For example, the friction drive system eliminates costly end caps. The use of end caps is a key issue: ceramic rolls with loose end caps often become eccentric, increasing distortion in the temper glass and unfavourable roller warp at furnace temperature increases due to manufacturing tolerances for the end caps and the ceramic rolls, negatively effecting roller wave distortion.
