Emirates Glass has doubled its production capacity following the commissioning of equipment upgrades and a forced convection furnace, company representatives said. "With the commissioning of this equipment, (the company claims to possess) one of the single largest facilities for superior quality glass manufacturing in the world," said Jerry Dowling, general manager, Emirates Glass. During the final quarter of 2004 the company installed and commissioned a Lisec automatic glass-cutting table, a second Lisec double glazing line equipped with the latest edge deletion facility and a Schiatti double-edger and four-holed drilling station, company representatives said. "With the doubling of output, Emirates Glass will be able to further expand its sales and market reach to hitherto unexplored areas," said Z Yazbeck, the company's sales/marketing director.
