Martin Jetter, president of Emhart Glass signed a contract with Panoramic Industrial Development Sdn. Bhd recently to design & build a new factory for Emhart's operations in Malaysia. The new plant will be located in the same area as the present one, Taman Preindustrian Cemerlang, Johor Bahru. The building will cover approximately 6,000 sq/m. Under the same contract additional land was acquired for a possible future expansion. The building is expected to be completed within 12m, followed by another 2m for fitting out & for the transfer of the activities from the current premises. The new building will primarily contain the assembly of new IS machines, cross conveyors, fabrication of welded parts as well as a job shop & a warehouse. There will be additional dedicated space for training on & demonstration of both HE & CE products.
