Electronic Polarizability, Otpical Basicity And Interaction Parameter Of Simple Oxides And Oxide Glasses

A suitable relationship between oxide ion polarizability, cation polarizability, optical basicity, O1s binding energy, metal (or nonmetal) binding energy and Yamashita-Kurosawa's interaction parameter has been found on the basis of known data on refractive index and/or energy gap of numerous simple oxides and different binary oxide glasses.
