Effects Of Metal Oxide Coatings On The Strength Of Soda-Lime-Silica Glass

Indentation flaws were placed on glass microscope slides which were then coated with tin oxide at elevated temperatures. The data obtained indicated that the coatings had no effect on the inert strength or static fatigue characteristics of the substrates.
